Protecting the Performance: Professional Practices in Embodied Consent and Closure for Performers
Boundary and communication skills are necessary for professional performers. This workshop provides an embodied framework for knowing and supporting one’s own learning and professional needs, as a dancer or actor.
This is a workshop on dealing professionally with challenging or sensitive material, not a workshop on performing staged intimacy.
Tools and experiences in this workshop can be applied to the classroom/studio and/or rehearsal room.

Care-full Creativity in the Classroom: Consent-Forward, Trauma-Informed, Psychologically Safe Pedagogic Practices
Faculty will learn to apply the principles of consent-forward, trauma-informed creative work, championed by intimacy professionals, to inform classroom experiences from syllabus creation, to exercises and material, to assessment.
This is a pedagogy workshop, not a workshop to learn to stage intimacy.
The tools and theories in this workshop are applicable to theatre and dance educators in higher education.
